In the spirit of scholarly collaboration, the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center at the University of Illinois (REEEC) invites applications from Midwest Institute (MIIIE) member faculty to attend the Summer Research Lab (SRL) with support from the MIIIE Summer Fellow Award. Recipients with research and/or curriculum development interests in the Russian, East European and Eurasian region will receive access to the resources of the University of Illinois Slavic collection and have the opportunity to seek advice and research support from the librarians of the Slavic Reference Service (SRS), including a bibliographic session.
Three recipients of the Inaugural MIIIE Summer Fellow Award will attend SRL at the University of Illinois for up to four days between July 22 and August 5. The recipients will receive up to three nights lodging (private sleeping room in a shared suite), parking, and a research honorarium. The selected Fellows will be expected to produce a syllabus for a new or updated course or a white paper based on their research while in residence at Illinois.
