Sheriff announces new Chief Deputy

Sheriff Lawrence Stelma announced that Kevin Kelley was promoted to Chief Deputy effective Monday, June 8, 2015.

… Kelley graduated from Grand Rapids Central High School. He obtained his Associate’s in Arts from Grand Rapids Community College and attended Grand Valley State University. Kevin graduated from Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command in November 2012.

Advance All-Area Boys Golf Team

The 2015 Advance All-Area Boys Golf Team features some repeat selections who continued to excel on courses throughout West Michigan and beyond.

… As one-third of Rockford’s triumphant senior triumvirate, Stephan had a powerful senior season to help lead the Rams to a successful OK Red title defense and a second straight top-five finish at the Division 1 state finals. Stephan averaged 79.1 for his tournament rounds, including a medalist performance at the OK Red mid-season tournament with a 75, and top-10 finishes at the Division 1 districts and regionals. Stephan will be attending Grand Rapids Community College next fall.
