Van & Marinus Swets Travel Award Winner shares her trip across the country via train

Sarah Laycock, of the College Success Center, won the 1st place award for the 2015 Van & Marinus Swets Travel Award. She traveled for roughly 45 hours aboard the Empire Builder Train and explored the beauty of the Northern US. Sarah thought this trip was a perfect way to recharge before the summer rush!

Sarah extends her many thanks to the Foundation with this personal statement and shared some fabulous photos with us:

I wanted to thank you, and the foundation for the wonderful gift of the Van and Marinus Swets Travel Award, allowing us to travel across the country. It was a truly amazing experience, and I cannot believe the beauty I saw as we crossed each state. It was also so unique to meet people on the train from all areas of the country, including several people who happened to work in Higher Ed! Attached are just a few of the many amazing photos I was able to capture from the train, and car. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart.
