Restaurant Week kicks off with Bloody Mary battle at Downtown Market

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Bloody Mary aficionados know that once you’ve got the correct vodka and tomato ratio, the popular cocktail’s garnish is what sets a drink apart.

… This year looks to be a milestone for the promotion that donates a dollar from every meal sold by each of the restaurants to a student scholarship fund at the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education at Grand Rapids Community College. Since 2010, Restaurant Week Grand Rapids participating restaurants have donated more than $90,000 to the fund.
