The Rapids Silver Line attracts new riders in its first year

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — As Rapid bus drivers continue to fight for changes to their pension plan, the state’s first Bus Rapid Transit system marks one year of service.

… “We are attracting new riders. Some of them are GRCC students, Spectrum Health employees who have found that parking at the 60th Street Park and Ride and taking the Silver Line into town has worked very well.”

Volleyball, soccer start strong at several colleges across Valley

The men’s and women’s soccer teams at Phoenix College charged out of the gate in impressive fashion, both starting their seasons 2-0 and scoring goals at a torrid pace.

… The SCC (Scottsdale Community College) women’s team, ranked No. 8 in the nation, justified that status by winning at No. 11 Arizona Western before returning home to defeat No. 16 Grand Rapids Community College to open the season.

Staff development adds tai chi classes

For those who have been asking, Staff Developments Exercise Class list now includes Tai Chi. The class is 45 minutes and in Spectrum Theater Room 211 lead by Tai Chi instructor Chalene Jones. Please feel free to join the class and check it out – we’d love to have you!
