GRCC, WMU sign transfer agreement

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) — Two West Michigan schools have joined forces to give students a path to an undergraduate degree.
Grand Rapids Community College and Western Michigan University signed an agreement Wednesday to provide GRCC students a seamless path to attend Western. It means GRCC will have specific classes students will take before heading to their third and fourth years of school in Kalamazoo.

Michigan Industrial Sewing Consortium program expands

With Michigan’s mighty manufacturing history at the root of its vision, Detroit Garment Group and Henry Ford College, which in October 2014 launched the state’s Industrial Sewing Certificate Program with SEMCA Michigan Works! and Lear Corporation, have partnered with Grand Rapids Community College, Lansing Community College and St. Clair County Community College to create the Michigan Industrial Sewing Consortium (MISC).
Grand Rapids Scout earns Eagle rank

Matthew Czuhajewski, 18, of southeast Grand Rapids, has received his Eagle Scout designation at a Court of Honor conducted at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids.
