Thompson M-Tec facility anniversary to be celebrated

Holland, Mich. — Grand Rapids Community College and the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District will hold an anniversary event for the Patrick A. Thompson M-Tec facility 4-6 p.m. Oct. 15 at the facility, 6364 136th Ave., Holland.

Restaurant Week supports GRCC culinary program

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) — Restaurant Week is obviously an economic success for downtown Grand Rapids, but it’s also providing a boost for local college students.

Organizers on Wednesday presented a fundraising check to Grand Rapids Community College. The money will go to the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education.

Nancy Haynes couldn’t help recalling her physics class in high school as she watched her kindergarten-age son sliding a lunch tray, then a carpet tile down a snowy hill. Lady Chargers fall to Grand Rapids

DONALDSON, IN — The Lady Chargers of Ancilla College lost to Grand Rapids Community College Tuesday night 24-26, 23-25, 14-25 to drop their record to 10-16.
