BENTON HARBOR, MI (WHTC) – In an effort to address the lack of community college studies along the Lakeshore, Lake Michigan College will start in January offering full associate degree programs in arts and applied science in business through classes to be held at the Allegan Area Technical and Education Center. Credits earned there can also be transferred to LMC’s campuses in South Haven, Benton Harbor and Niles. Grand Rapids Community College currently holds classes at the Midtown Center in Holland. Efforts in the past to create a two-year college system in Allegan and Ottawa counties have failed.
