… 5. Clifford Lake Inn, Stanton
Located: 561 Clifford Lake Dr NW, Stanton, MI 48888
Pastry Chef: Dana Wilmer-Lucas
Must Have Dessert: Chef Dana trained at Grand Rapids Community College’s culinary arts program and then worked at several GR-area restaurants. She is now part of a team making the Clifford Lake Inn in Stanton a destination restaurant after closing for more than a year. Not only did the restaurant make the Top 10 of Michigan’s Best Mac and Cheese, its is known for desserts, too. Diners have been known to get unruly if the famous Tiramisu sells out. It is pretty fantastic. I also recommend the Key Lime Pie with fresh lime juice from Key West, and the dark chocolate creme brulee.
