Mozzarella: Michigan chiama, Castellana-Grotte risponde

Ancora una puntata del format “Cooking With Angus” dedicata ad uno dei presidi del gusto del nostro territorio: la mozzarella.

Dopo quello sull’olio di oliva, il nuovo video del Grand Rapids Community College di Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA accentra la propria attenzione sulla produzione e sulla preparazione, non tralasciando ampie panoramiche sulle bellezze della nostra terra. Anche qui, volti noti come quello del maestro casaro Palmirotta e il sorriso ospitale di Mariella Fornaro.

Per Cooking With Angus: Mozzarella fondamentale la collaborazione del castellanese Nicholas Conte, ex-alunno dell’I.P.S.S.E.O.A. “Angelo Consoli” e, oggi, titolare di un rinomato ristorante in Scozia e quella di Vito Mangini, docente dell’I.P.S.S.E.O.A.

Condolences to Carole Redwine

Condolences to Carole Redwine, longtime Child Development faculty member and the voice of GRCC for many years, on the loss of her husband, Gerald, who passed away on Sunday, April 3, after a very long illness.

Visitation is Friday from 3-6 p.m. at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507. Services are on Saturday, April 9, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 1025 Three Mile Road, Grand Rapids. Family may be greeted from 10-10:45 a.m. Donations may be made to St. Phillip’s Episcopal Church, the Bishop Whittemore Foundation or Faith Hospice, Trillium Woods.

AIGA hosts panel discussion at GRCC

AIGA West Michigan, the local chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, is hosting “In-House Insights,” a panel discussion on practicing design in the corporate environment, starting at 9 a.m. April 12 in room 108 of Sneden. Communications director Leah Nixon will moderate, and coffee and baked goods will be offered at 8:30 a.m.

The event is free, but registration is required.
