100-plus degree temp forces GRCC to cancel classes at Ford Fieldhouse

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Grand Rapids Community College announced Friday morning that all classes in its Ford Fieldhouse are canceled for the day due to extreme heat.

A leader in the Grand Rapids Latino community will be laid to rest this morning. Martin Morales died Monday from surgery complications. … In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Martin Morales Scholarship Fund at Grand Rapids Community College.

Wounded Warriors hit a home run in Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC – Back in 2009, the mother of a local Marine who was injured in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan said she had faith her son would one day walk, even run again.

… Wege, of rural Campbellsport, and Army veteran Saul Bosquez, of Brownsville, have played on the team since it was founded in 2011. Shortstop Bosquez lost his lower left leg and two right toes to an improvised explosive device in 2007 while patrolling in Iraq. He played high school, American Legion and two seasons of junior college baseball at Grand Rapids Community College before joining the Army.

 

 

Online sale scheduled for August 18

Grand Rapids Community College will be hosting an Online Sale on August 18. This sale, running from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., will feature retired College technology and resources including laptops, desktops, monitors, electronics, lost & found items, and many others! A specific inventory listing will be available the day of the sale.
