Blackboard to get update

On Monday, August 22nd, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Blackboard will undergo scheduled maintenance to apply the latest release. During this time Blackboard will be unavailable.

How does this affect you?

This release will provide quality improvements (bug fixes) as well as a couple new features. In addition to what Blackboard is delivering, some visual and organizational changes will be implemented to streamline the interface and the user experience.

Blackboard is discontinuing support for the Virtual Classroom and Chat course tools with this release. Also, the third-party My Courses Plus module will be discontinued because it is no longer being supported by the developer and is broken in the new release. The Blackboard delivered My Course List module will provide similar feature sets along with some additional features for organizing courses.

The following video describes the visual and organizational changes as well as the differences between My Courses Plus, My Course List, and Quickly: What’s New With Blackboard at GRCC – Fall 2016
