Enjoy Polish food, music, dancing, and culture at the Polish Festival this weekend

A weekend of Polish food, music, and dancing is taking over Grand Rapids this weekend at the Polish Festival.

… All money made from the festival will go back into the community to keep the Polish culture alive in Grand Rapids. They will also be giving back by making scholarships to GVSU, GRCC, and Aquinas.

Technology notification

We’re pleased to announce that Techsmith Snagit Version 13.0.1 is now available in the Software Center.  The previous version that was available in the Software Center was Techsmith Snagit 12.4.1.  Release notes for the new version can be found at https://www.techsmith.com/snagit-version-history.html.  Information on how to access the Software Center can be found at https://grouplink.grcc.edu:8443/ehelpdesk/kb/kbView.glml?kbId=813.

The Techsmith Snagit installer in the Software Center is only available to GRCC issued computers running Windows.  GRCC issued computers running Windows will automatically be updated with the newer version September 22nd at 8:00 am.  If you have GRCC issued Mac or you have a personal device that you would like the software installed on, please contact IT Customer Support for assistance.

Open houses for Center for Teaching Excellence, Distance Learning start August 25

The Center for Teaching Excellence and the Distance Learning & Instructional Support Department will be hosting an open house August 25th, 26th, and 29th.  We encourage all faculty members to come in with any questions, comments, or concerns about their classes, online teaching, instructional technologies, and anything else relating to distance learning. The open house will take place during the following hours:

  • 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. — Thursday, August 25th
  • 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. – Friday, August 26th
  • 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. – Monday, August 29th

We are Located on the third floor of the main building, rooms 316 for DLIT and room 308 for the CTE.
