Two Byron Center alumni hired to lead Van Singel Fine Arts Center

BYRON CENTER — Two Byron Center alumni have taken leadership positions at the Van Singel Fine Arts Center.
… (Steve) Haase, a 2003 graduate, is the new technical director. He traveled with the major national tour of “Singing in the Rain” after graduation before returning to West Michigan and attending Grand Rapids Community College. He went on to Western Michigan University to earn a bachelor’s degree in theater with an emphasis in design and technical production and then received a master’s degree in theater design and technology with an emphasis in technical direction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
