Leadership Institute applications due October 28

The Grand Rapids Community College Leadership Institute is a 12-month leadership program committed to strengthening new or emerging leaders from across campus. This program is geared to foster a broader understanding of the campus community, accelerate talent development and hone individual and team leadership skills. The Leadership Institute is designed for individual employees who have the capacity and desire to make a positive influence on our campus. Leadership Institute includes content pertinent to talent identification, leadership development, and addressing issues relevant to the college community.

If you are interested in Leadership Institute 2017 please visit www.grcc.edu/leadershipinstitute for additional information or to obtain an application packet. The application packet must be received by Jessica Berens in Human Resources by Friday, October 28, 2016.

September is Safety Awareness Month

Did you know that September is Safety Awareness month? In the spirit of continuing to keep the GRCC campus a safe and vibrant place, we highly encourage you to attend some of the activities and trainings being held this month:

  • Campus Police is hosting a health and safety fair on September 20th from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Raider Grille. There will be vendors from all over our community offering tips on how to maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle.
  • Human Resources/Staff Development extends an invitation to all of our GRCC campus community to attend our Active Shooter Response training being held on Tuesday, September 27th from 2:30 – 4:30p.m. Not only is this an important training for those new to campus, but it is a great refresher for those who have attended in the past.
