Dia de los Muertos observance includes food, altar display

The Latino Student Support Team invites you to celebrate and learn about “Dia de los Muertos”! Horchata, tamales, and pan dulce (sweet bread) will be served!

“Dia de los Muertos” is a holiday celebrated in Mexico (and many other countries) that honors family and friends who have passed on. This is a time of celebration and remembrance in which altars are built to commemorate the life of departed loved ones.

The celebration will take place on Wednesday, November 2nd, from 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Woodrick Center for Equity and Inclusion.

Refreshments will be available as of 10:30 a.m.

The altar will be on display through November 4th. Open to all student, staff, and faculty. We look forward to seeing you there!

A "Dia de los Muertos" altar is decorated with Mexican flags, skull figures and cards.
