Dia de los Muertos celebration runs through 4:30 p.m. today

The Latino Student Support Team invites you to celebrate and learn about “Dia de los Muertos”! Please join us today at the Woodrick Center for Equity and Inclusion. Our Day of the Dead celebration will be from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. We will have refreshments- tamales, horchata, and pan dulce (sweet bread).

“Dia de los Muertos” is a holiday celebrated in Mexico (and many other countries) that honors family and friends who have passed on. This is a time of celebration and remembrance in which altars are built to commemorate the life of departed loved ones.

The altar will be on display through Nov. 4. Open to all student, staff, and faculty. We look forward to seeing you there!

A "Dia de los Muertos" altar is decorated with Mexican flags, skull figures and cards.
