It was a long time in the making, but Don Steeby’s HVAC students finally completed the installation and startup of three supermarket display cases for their Commercial Refrigeration class.
Funding for this project was provided by our Michigan CCSTEP grant, which was designed to help community colleges boost skilled trades instruction. Don’s students were instrumental in the installation, electrical wiring, piping, and refrigerant charging of all three cases.
This project will help educate future students in the complex technology used for supermarket refrigeration, which will lead to well-paying jobs in the growing world of heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration.
Congratulations to Don’s students!
