For six weeks this fall, Secchia Institute for Culinary Education faculty and their spouses participated in the MVP Corporate Challenge sponsored by Allegro Coaching. Each team member wore personal heart rate monitors to gauge their effort during exercise to average more effort points than any other team. Competition was neck and neck, and the top three teams fought hard to stay on top. In the end, Secchia Institute for Culinary Education sweated through the Thanksgiving holiday to win a landslide victory over the other participating teams, earning a $1,000 scholarship for Secchia Institute for Culinary Education students as well as the coveted MVP Cup.
Teams included: Spectrum Health, Steelcase, Reagan Marketing, Consumers Energy, GR Label, Hastings Mutual, Flexco, Encompass, and Trivalent.
