Six new Muskegon police officers

A new class of police recruits received their badges from Muskegon Police Chief Jeffrey Lewis on Jan. 17, 2017. Each was sworn in as new officers and took the oath of office, pledging to protect citizens and lead unsullied personal lives.
… He (Steven Clark) attended the police academy at Grand Rapids Community College. Clark has worked for the Roosevelt Park Police Department, Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office and the Montague Police Department.
… Stephen Host grew up in Grand Rapids where he graduated from West Catholic High School. He attended Grand Rapids Community College and then Grand Valley State University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2015. He attended the police academy at Grand Rapids Community College from which he graduated in October 2016. Host is enlisted in the Michigan Army National Guard and holds the rank of sergeant E-5.
… Adam Sherman was raised and currently resides in Coopersville. He is a licensed EMT and paid on-call firefighter. Sherman attended Grand Rapids Community College where he earned and associate degree in criminal justice and graduated from the police academy in October 2016.
… Max Wozniak grew up in Grand Rapids and graduated from East Grand Rapids High School. He first worked in the food service industry before switching careers to law enforcement. Wozniak attended the police academy at Grand Rapids Community College where he also obtained an associate degree in criminal justice in October 2016.
