Former Harbor Beach teen dies in crash

COURTLAND TOWNSHIP — A 19-year-old Rockford woman, formerly of Harbor Beach, died following a two-vehicle crash that took place on M-57 and Berrigan Avenue on Friday morning.

According to the Michigan State Police Rockford Post, troopers were called to the scene around 8:35 a.m., where Kaylin Roggenbuck was traveling east on M-57 and struck the rear of a flatbed truck, which was stopped waiting to make a left hand turn onto Berrigan Avenue.

(Kaylin Roggenbuck was a GRCC student.)

Muskegon Community College’s men’s basketball team had four players score in double figures in the Jayhawks 87-83 victory over Ancilla College on Wednesday.

SCHOLARfest to honor the Enders

SCHOLARfest 2017 will honor President Dr. Steven C. Ender and his wife, Karen!

President Ender, who retires after this year’s commencement, has left a legacy that will have an impact on students and the community for generations to come. Share this special occasion with us!

SCHOLARfest will take place 6-9 p.m. March 23 at DeVos Place, 303 Monroe Ave. NW. The program, which includes performances by Music Department faculty and students, begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $150 per person; proceeds benefit the Dr. Steven C. and Karen G. Ender Scholarship fund.
