ScholarFest! 2017 – Payroll Deduction Available

The GRCC Foundation is happy to announce that payroll deduction my be utilized to purchase tickets to this year’s SCHOLARfest! event honoring Steve and Karen Ender on March 23, 2017.

If you are interested in taking advantage of this purchasing option, please email foundation@grcc.edu for the form that needs to be completed to authorize the payroll deduction for the ticket purchase.

Once you complete form, scan it and send the PDF back to the foundation via email at foundation@grcc.edu as soon as possible.

Open Educational Resources review for faculty March 1

Librarian Sophia Brewer, will share information about Open Educational Resources and how they are being used on college campuses.

This brief overview will answer the following questions:

• What are Open Educational Resources (OER)?
• What is Creative Commons and what does copyright have to do with it?
• What are the best sources for OER?
• How can librarians can help?

Join Sophia Wednesday, March 1 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. In room 206 of the Library and Learning Commons, located within the Learning Center.

 

IT support desk spring break hours

March 6-10, the IT support desk will be open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will be closed March 11 and 12.

Dr. Ender to receive lifetime achievement award

Dr. Ender will be honored with the Michael Bennett Lifetime Achievement Award, with eight others, during PTK Catalyst, Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society’s annual national convention this April.
