Grand Rapids superintendent thanks county voters, outlines renovations in annual speech

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The Grand Rapids Public School district plans to pour more money and resources into Ottawa Hills High School during the coming school year.

… The disclosure of those details comes four months after the district made public plans to offer enrollment to up to 50 to eligible Ottawa Hills High School sophomores for a program set to launch next school year through a partnership with Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) where students can earn high school and college credit at the same time.

Parts of Ionia, Ottawa avenues closed through May 7

If you plan to travel to campus today through the weekend:

  • Ottawa Avenue NW is closed to through-traffic from Lyon to Michigan streets today through 3 p.m. May 7. The Michigan Street intersection is being paved; I-196 ramps remain open. The recommended detour for southbound traffic is Michigan to Monroe Avenue to Lyon.
  • Ionia Avenue NW will also be closed to through-traffic from Lyon to Michigan streets through 3 p.m. May 7. The recommended detour for northbound traffic is Lyon to Monroe to Michigan.
