GRCC hosted a celebration on May 19 to thank our advisory committee members for their contributions to our programs and our students. Nearly 100 community members and GRCC faculty representing 26 different advisory committees enjoyed breakfast and a brief presentation that included a video honoring the Radiologic Technology Advisory Committee as our Advisory Committee of the Year.
The latest schedule, through June 2, for the College Channel includes the May 15 board of trustees meeting.
The bookstore will be temporarily located in the Farside Room, first floor of the Student Center, during renovations from Tuesday, May 30, through Tuesday, June 6.

Amid growing concerns over skilled worker shortages, a group of partners will offer another talent pipeline for West Michigan employers.
Grand Rapids Community College, Kent Intermediate School District and area manufacturers have created a program called Launch U that will allow high school students to earn college credit or a degree at Kent ISD and GRCC.

WMU, Aquinas partner on engineering degree

Western Michigan University and Aquinas College this fall will join a packed field of schools forging academic partnerships.
… “We’re working on … building an advanced manufacturing lab with GRCC,” he said. “All of these pieces are coming together to build a stronger engineering presence in greater Grand Rapids.”
