College Channel programming June 3-9

The latest schedule, through June 9, for the College Channel includes the May 15 board of trustees meeting and the May 19 GRCC Adult Education Achievement Celebration.

Construction to affect I-196 at Ottawa Avenue

Construction will start Tuesday, June 6. Both Ottawa off-ramps on I-196 will be closed; traffic is advised to use the College exits.

I went to (Grand Rapids Community College) and I was one of two girls in my (recording technology) program, and the other girl was straight. Just bringing a lot more representation is a big goal of ours, getting everybody talking about it.”

New owners of 152-year-old Heritage Hill landmark seek special land use permit

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Recovery center owners David and Rae Green have purchased the 152-year-old McCabe Marlowe mansion in the city’s Heritage Hill neighborhood.
…The McCabe-Marlowe house was sold to the Greens by the Grand Rapids Community College Foundation for $455,000 last month — $120,000 less than its original asking price, according to city property records.
