GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A plan to offer Kent ISD students the opportunity to earn college certificates in advanced manufacturing fields next school year is being delayed due to low enrollment.

A local housing-for-homeless nonprofit will give its tenants a new set of tools in their toolbox while allowing them to gain a new lease on life.
… The grant will fund sustainability workshops for tenants and neighbors, peer-to-peer mentoring and connecting tenants to GRCC’s Residential Construction Program. Training topics will include lead safety, dust containment, zero-waste goals, renewable energy sources and more.
Destination Education holding college prep workshops for Holland High grads

There’s an unfortunate phenomenon that can happen to high school graduates in the summer between graduation and the first semester of college.
… Two more free workshops are slated. College 101: Understanding Resources on Campus will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, at the Grand Rapids Community College Lakeshore Campus on the third floor of the Midtown Center, 96 W. 15th St. in Holland. College 102: Understanding College Life will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10, in room 158 of Hope College’s Martha Miller Center, 257 Columbia Ave. in Holland.
