GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A jury has convicted a man guilty of stabbing and killing a woman in an apparently random attack on Grand Rapids Community College’s campus last year.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Some racial divides in Grand Rapids have changed little since 1967.

… This February at her second state of the city speech, (Mayor Rosalynn) Bliss announced a racial equity initiative. She is putting together a group led by her and Grand Rapids Community College President Bill Pink. They will start meeting this October to come up with a plan for intentional changes to address economic disparities in African American and Hispanic communities in the city.
