GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Voters across West Michigan will head to the polls Tuesday, Aug. 8, for a primary election.

… (Joe) Jones, 46, is the president and CEO of the Grand Rapids Urban League and has garnered a wide range of endorsements for his campaign including the entire city commission and mayor, Grand Rapids Public Schools officials, the Grand Rapids Fire Department union and Grand Rapids Community College officials.

Screening committee training set for August 18

GRCC adjunct, student worked on ‘The Bread Show’

Adjunct English instructor Roel Garcia wrote the script for “The Bread Show,” a celebration of Latin American and Anglo-European bread-making traditions presented by the Urban Garden Performing Arts of Holland. GRCC student Mariana Ramirez Franco was among the actors in the August 4 performance at the Holland Area Arts Council.

Quiet Cafe to close August 14-25

The Quiet Cafe will be closed starting Monday, August 14, through August 25.  We will reopen Monday, August 28, with normal hours.
