2-part series looks at writing applications, essays

TRIO/Student Support Services has organized a two-part series on “Writing that Outshines the Competition.”

Students will learn how to:

  • Fill out competitive applications.
  • Complete applications and personal essays.
  • Develop a final product that can be used multiple ways.

The sessions run 3-5 p.m. September 20 and 27 in room 336 of the Student Center.

Business Cafe session focuses on Study Away

Business Department faculty discuss various topics throughout the semester in the Business Cafe series. All the sessions are drop-in — and open to all students, not just those in business majors — so stay for 10 minutes or the entire time. Snacks are provided!

From 11 a.m. to noon or 1-2 p.m. September 18 in room 201 of Cook, Assistant Professor Matheta Righa will talk about GRCC’s Study Away program, a short-term learning experience that’s part of a credit-bearing course.
