Public phase of $4.5M campaign for youth homeless shelter underway

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Covenant House Michigan launched the public phase of its $4.5 million campaign Wednesday, Nov. 8, for the area’s first homeless shelter for young adults.

… More than 200 students have graduated since the school started, including Ermano Msafiri, a student at Grand Rapids Community College. The native of the Congo, who grew up in a Tanzania refugee camp told the audience about his journey to the U.S. and the support and encouragement received to complete his diploma.
