GRAND RAPIDS — Jane Doyle held a heavy bronze medal in her creased hands, running her fingers over the engraved surface.

… It wasn’t until she enrolled in what was then Grand Rapids Junior College in 1939 that Doyle considered flying an airplane was something she could do.

… Grand Rapids Community College named its newly renovated recital hall for mezzo-soprano Linn Maxwell Keller. The state-of-the-art Linn Maxwell Keller Recital Hall provides options for acoustic adjustment and includes seating for 104, which can be deployed or retracted to create rehearsal space for large groups. Linn Maxwell Keller, who died in 2016, was an ardent supporter of GRCC’s music program.

Entrepreneurship, MWest Challenge topics of Business Cafe sessions

Business Department faculty discuss various topics throughout the semester in the Business Cafe series. All the sessions are drop-in — and open to all students, not just those in business majors — so stay for 10 minutes or the entire time. Snacks are provided!
