Kendra DeJonge named NJCAA All-American

On December 7th, the NJCAA Division II Volleyball Committee released the NJCAA Division II All-American list for 2017. Not surprisingly, MCCAA Freshman of the Year Kendra DeJonge’s name was on the list, being named Second Team All-American. DeJonge, who hails from Rockford, led the Raiders volleyball team to a 27-3 (16-0 MCCAA-West) record and a #3 national ranking.

On the season, DeJonge recorded 406 Kills, 320 Digs and 43 Aces. Kendra ranked 33rd in the Nation in kills and 9th in kills per set. DeJonge powered a potent Raiders offense all the way to the Region XII, District F finals where GRCC fell to eventual National Runner-Up, Owens Community College.
