2018 Baseball Season Preview

Feb. 13, 2018; EMU Eagles (athletics department website)

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University baseball team is set to escape the cold and snowy conditions of Michigan as it heads down to sunny Florida to open its 2018 season Friday, Feb. 16. After a solid 2017 campaign, which saw the Eagles reach their first Mid-American Conference title game since 2008, EMU looks to reach new heights under new interim head coach Eric Roof.

… The third starting role will most likely go to incoming JUCO transfer Jackson Shaver (Grand Rapids, Mich.-Forest Hills Northern (Grand Rapids C.C.)). The 6-foot-7 right hander logged 65 innings for the GRCC Raiders last season on his way to being named all-conference.
