Diane Smith’s daughter, Maddie, who is with the GRCC preschool lab this semester, surprised her mom and everyone on the second floor of the Administration Building on Wednesday with hand-delivered valentines. Maddie, who plans to transfer to MSU to major in nursing after graduation this spring, is applying practical skills learned in classroom to her work with 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds in the Dune room.

2018 Baseball Season Preview
Feb. 13, 2018; EMU Eagles (athletics department website)
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University baseball team is set to escape the cold and snowy conditions of Michigan as it heads down to sunny Florida to open its 2018 season Friday, Feb. 16. After a solid 2017 campaign, which saw the Eagles reach their first Mid-American Conference title game since 2008, EMU looks to reach new heights under new interim head coach Eric Roof.
… The third starting role will most likely go to incoming JUCO transfer Jackson Shaver (Grand Rapids, Mich.-Forest Hills Northern (Grand Rapids C.C.)). The 6-foot-7 right hander logged 65 innings for the GRCC Raiders last season on his way to being named all-conference.
Thursday evening, February 15th, PeopleSoft Student, the Online Center, HR, and Financials will be down for approximately three hours between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. for required database security maintenance.
