GRCC, like all other higher education institutions, is required by the Higher Learning Commission to engage in a comprehensive strategic planning process. Our plan is framed by five strategic goals announced by President Bill Pink last August. The planning process that produced this draft began last fall with a survey completed by 904 faculty and staff members, community members and students outlining their priorities for the new plan. The Strategic Leadership Team then worked from September to February to craft these priorities into a set of action projects with indicators of success that will lead to accomplishment of the strategic goals. The November and January team meetings were augmented with additional GRCC faculty, staff, students and community members to widen the participation in the planning process.
The draft available today is the next step in meeting the requirement to deliver a plan to the Board of Trustees in June 2018. We are seeking input from GRCC faculty and staff, students, and community members. Please take the time to review the draft and provide your feedback. The SLT will review all comments at our March 16 meeting.
