Tassell M-TEC hosts CWDA Rally

GRCC Tassell M-TEC hosted the annual CWDA (Construction Workforce Development Alliance) Rally on Wednesday, March 7.  The CWDA was created by the Associated Builders and Contractors Western Michigan Chapter (ABCWM), American Subcontractors Association of Michigan (ASAM), and Home Builders Association of Greater Grand Rapids (HBAGGR).

The CWDA Rally gathers commercial and residential construction industry professionals to celebrate the industry and raise funds to inspire and attract young people to the construction industry.  Much of the money raised at this event goes to scholarships for students interested in GRCC’s Construction Jump Start program.  The Rally consists of teams of 3 people and this year there were 20 teams.  The teams competed in 6 different fun events.  At the end of the night a champion is crowned.  This year, the champion was Dan Vos Construction.

Attached are some pictures of the Rally and a nice note from our partners at Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Western Michigan.
