Making a difference in our schools

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Here in West Michigan, there’s a shortage of diverse preschool teachers in the workforce, so Aquinas College is working to make a difference through free training.
Here to tell us more about the PREP program is Dr. Nkechy Ezeh, the Early Childhood Education Program Director, along with Beanka Masefiade and Sirak Kurban, two of the PREP Recruiters.
(In the interview that follows, Kurban talks about creating partnerships with nonprofits, specifically mentioning GRCC.)

The first thing you may notice about Roodflore Winkels is her smile. Get to know her a bit, and her determination and accomplishments could very well make you smile.
… She plans to attend Grand Rapids Community College in the fall and pursue a career in accounting. She has secured an internship with a local accounting firm for part of the summer.
