Gov. Snyder sets talent plan in motion

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder approved the Marshall Plan for Talent last week, which will invest $100 million to be used over the next five years in an effort to improve the states talent pool.
… Bill Pink, president of Grand Rapids Community College, said people are getting “hung up” on concerns like this.
“People think that it’s such an either-or. It can be both,” Pink said.
He said someone could start in an entry-level trade job and later choose to pursue the education required to become a manager or higher position. And many of those companies will pay for their employees to pursue that education, he said.

MTV’s “Ex on the Beach” season finale took place on June 28, 2018. Cory Wharton, who’s been a familiar face on multiple MTV reality shows, took to Twitter yesterday to urge his fans to watch the last episode. Many might remember the hunky reality star from “The Real World” and “The Challenge,” and after watching him last night, a lot of the viewers are curious to know more about him.
… Cory then attended Grand Rapids Community College for almost two and half years. Before he attended GRCC, Cory studied sports management at Ohio Dominican University.
