AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Responding to student demand for ways to reduce the cost of college, student success leader Civitas Learning today announced the launch of new search technology specifically designed to help students find courses that offer open educational resources (OER). This would allow students to reduce costs for required course materials while still accessing a complete educational experience.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — La Comisión de Relaciones Comunitarias de la Ciudad de Grand Rapids realizó el pasado viernes 21 de septiembre de 2018, la celebración del 65 Aniversario de los Derechos Civiles y Cena de Gala. GRCC’s ECLL Marsh room would like to thank Jeff Smoes and his helper for bringing the leaf blowers and making a big leaf pile for our kids to play in. Jeff took it upon himself to do this for our kids, saying “I still like to play in the leaves and figured it would be fun for the kids.”
Our kids had a ball. Thank you!

Golden Raider Retiree Happy Hour tomorrow afternoon

The GRCC Golden Raider Retirees are hosting their first happy hour! Come connect with your colleagues and friends, and throw a few bucks in the collection box for the Golden Raider Scholarship.

When: Friday, October 19th, from 3-6 p.m.

Where: Derby Station (2237 Wealthy St SE #130, East Grand Rapids, MI 49506)

What else:

  • Cash bar and food.
  • Free parking in the ramp behind the restaurant.
  • Folks who are planning on retiring are most welcome.
