The Rapids’ latest innovations will ensure the independent public transportation authority remains an essential part of passengers’ commute for decades to come, thanks in part to high-tech, new partnerships and out-of-the-box thinking. Yes, that means autonomous mobility is in the mix.
… The route includes stops where people work: near Spectrum Health, Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids Community College, Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine, and the Bridge Street Market.

Reminder: campus-wide fire alarm drills planned for tomorrow

Campus Police and Facilities will be conducting fire alarm drills of all GRCC Campus buildings on Friday, November 9, 2018, starting at 9 a.m. with the Main / Cook Building. The M-TEC Campus will also conduct a fire alarm drill later in the day.

Each Campus building fire alarm will be activated separately with all students, staff, and visitors temporarily evacuated until the buildings are cleared. Once cleared, classes and operations will resume as normal.

The only building that will NOT be conducting a fire alarm on November 9, 2018, is the Early Childhood Preschool; this building already conducts monthly fire alarm drills.

Please contact Lt. Bob Decker, GRCC Campus Police, at 234-3579 with any questions or concerns.
