Fifth Third Foundation Announces Second Year of Strengthening Our Communities Awards

CINCINNATI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nov 8, 2018–The Fifth Third Foundation has announced the second year of the Strengthening Our Communities fund awards, bringing the total amount invested over the last two years to $5.5 million. The fund has awarded $3 million for 2018.

The Catawba Valley Community College volleyball team has been seeded 10th in next week’s NJCAA Division II national tournament, according to a press release from CVCC Athletics.
The Red Hawks (33-9) will face seventh-seeded Grand Rapids Community College in the first round. The Warriors (29-6) were the Region XII/District F champions this season. This will be the first playoff meeting between the two schools since the 2013-14 season, which Grand Rapids won in five sets. CVCC also saw the Warriors earlier this season at the Owens Express Invitational.
