Add This To Your Playlist: Week Four- A Walk in the Park
When I was first creating this playlist, I knew that the songs tied together somehow, but I wasn’t quite certain what that aspect was. Upon further reflection, I realized that these are all songs you can easily lose yourself in. Each one has a very distinct feeling and a specific image that I picture while listening to the song. This week, I thought Id do something a little different and take all of you along with me on a journey of visualization.
… Song Five: Lavender Hue by Emma Bieniewicz
… This song easily evokes a sunrise for me because of how incredibly soft and peaceful it is. I think that the word lavender also connotes a sense of relaxation and brings with it a dream-like quality. Emma Bieniewicz studies Violin and Viola Performance at Grand Rapids Community College and grew up in Ada, Michigan.

The snowy season doesn’t stop the November project from heading outdoors
12/4/18 Grand Rapids Magazine
Exercising outdoors year-round at 6:01 a.m. through wind, rain and snow might sound like torture to some, but there is a dedicated bunch of people in Grand Rapids that do it every Wednesday morning. They call themselves the November Project.
… Anyone is welcome to join. All you have to do is show up at the corner of Lyon Street and Bostwick Street, near the Grand Rapids Community College Ford Fieldhouse, at 6:01 a.m. on a Wednesday.
