  • It would be a wonderful workplace if everyone did a perfect job all of the time. But sometimes, people need coaching to help them improve. This program explains the process of effective coaching that you can use to help improve performance and behavioral issues.

Thursday, January 31: Drupal Basics: Editing Content

  • In this course, participants will learn to navigate the Drupal system, understand and use content types, and edit existing content.

Wednesday, February 6: GRCC Purchasing Policy

  • 1:00-2:30 p.m.
  • Rm 308 Main
  • The Purchasing Department at GRCC serves the needs of the college for all purchases in excess of $1000. Responsibility and authority to make commitments for these purchases are assigned to the Purchasing Department. Mansfield Matthewson, Director of Purchasing, and Melissa Davis, Procurement Specialist, will present the college’s Purchasing Policy, and provide a forum for open discussion and Q & A with participants.

Thursday, February 7: Writing for the Web

  • 10:00-11:00 a.m.

  • Full Title: Writing for the Web: Universal Accessibility and Best Practices in UX. This course is an introduction to writing for the web, exploring search engine optimization, and learning how to increase your conversion rates through creating universally accessible content.

Thursday, February 7: Online Ordering

  • 1:00-2:30 p.m.
  • Rm 351 Main
  • This course will review the printing online ordering from the login and profile set-up how and when to use the quick copy options, how and when to us the print ordering options along with the differences in the categories of each area, paper selection and order history. You will learn the techniques of looking up your past orders and copying into a new order to streamline ordering repeated items.Want to keep track of your budget, What do I need to know when placing my store orders. Administrative staff can look at reports of each budget your area is responsible for and how a minimum and maximum can be put in place to keep you on track.

Friday, February 8: Restoring your Digestive Function

  • 12:00-1:00 p.m.
  • Rm 309 Sneden
  • This session will give participants a clear understanding of the functions of the digestive system. Discussions will center around identifying abnormal digestion, how to prevent digestive disorders, and how to incorporate natural solutions to these issues into your everyday life.

Tuesday, February 12: Signs of Marijuana Use

  • 10:00-11:00 a.m.
  • Rm 307 Sneden
  • Scott Nuismer, a certified addictions specialist, will teach both how to recognize the markers of marijuana use and what you can safely do about it. Participants will learn how to recognize biological and physiological sign of marijuana use, as well as interventions to use.

Friday, February 15: Retirement Planning Resources

  • Is retirement planning on your mind? If so, this session is for you! We will look at the available resources to help prepare you for this chapter of your life. Whether you’re retiring in the near future, or simply planning ahead, you’ll gain knowledge and tools to help you plan accordingly. Come join us in our discussion!
