It’s “First Tee Wednesday.” We’re highlighting the First Tee of Western Michigan, which is helping participants stay engaged during the winter months while much of the country is buried under snow. They’ve developed Homework and Hitting. After school, participants can visit the chapter and after completing 20 minutes of homework, they can work on their chipping, putting or swing indoors. … Seventeen-year-old high school senior Dominic Luciani started through the Homework and Hitting program back in 2014, and since joining the First Tee five years ago, he’s progressed to the eighth level and is now a junior coach, volunteering his time, including at Homework and Hitting. … He will be the first participant from the chapter to go on to play college golf and recently signed with Grand Rapids Community College.
