Hawks open softball season with two victories

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Hagerstown Community College opened its season with a pair of victories in the FastPitch Dreams Classic on Sunday.
The Hawks edged Grand Rapids Community College in eight innings. Elizabeth Churchman and Madi Renn each singled and later scored on an error. Emily Talbert went the distance, allowing five hits and three walks while striking out 14.
