  • The Muskegon Community College golf team fared well in its own tournament, the Jayhawk Invitational, on Thursday and Friday.
  • MCC finished second in the team standings with 342 points, behind first-place Grand Rapids Community College (305).

GRCC Family Nursing course seeks pregnant volunteers for simulated prenatal visit

The faculty of the Grand Rapids Community College Family Nursing Course are looking for pregnant volunteers for a simulated prenatal visit.  This is not to replace a regular visit with your provider but an opportunity for our LPN students to simulate an office visit with willing participants.

We will hold our simulations on May 6 and May 8 between 10 a.m. and noon.  Lunch will be provided.

G Suite Tip – Granting read access to your calendar

Allow your team or other members on campus to view your schedule and edit events by sharing your Google Calendar.

• Open Google Calendar
  • Note: You can’t share calendars from the Google Calendar app
• On the left, find the My Calendars section. You might need to click it to expand it
• Hover over the calendar you want to share, click More⠇
• Click Settings and sharing
• Under Share with specific people, add the person or the email address of the person you want to share with.
• Under Permissions, select Make changes and manage sharing, or Make Changes to events
• Click Send

If you share your calendar with an individual, they will see your calendar in their “Other Calendars” list. When sharing your calendar with an email group, they will see it in their “Other Calendars” list after they click on the link in the email invitation from Google Calendar.

Construction reminder: Winchester Alley closed for sign installation

Winchester Alley between Lyon and Fountain streets will be closed starting TODAY as crews begin installing the sign transforming the Main Building into Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall.

Parking: G1, Cook Hall parking will be closed. Lyon ramp staff parking gates will be opened.

Crews began preparation work Friday, and a crane is being set in place to haul materials to the roof and upper levels of the building. Work is expected to last about a week.
