Obetts retires from Greenville Public Safety

July 30, 2019; The Daily News (Greenville)

GREENVILLE — As a wide-eyed 20-year-old fresh out of the police academy, Marty Obetts jumped at the first opportunity the moment it was brought to his attention 22 years ago.

… “I was just the typical little kid and it was something I always wanted to do. It was something I picked up on, knowing I wouldn’t have to go to college very long,” he said with a laugh. “I went through Grand Rapids Community College’s program and was hired here in Greenville.”

Departmental deposits

Departmental deposits that are sent over to the Cashier’s Office need to be accompanied by a deposit slip. Please do not send checks with a sticky note with just the account number.  We need to keep better track of where the deposits come from, and we can contact you if there are any questions regarding the deposit.

Please email Diana Miranda at dianamiranda@grcc.edu if you need slips (an electronic option is available).
