2019 Blessing of The Students

Aug. 23, 2019; Grand Rapids Times

This year, elementary, middle school, high school and college students, school teams, community and church youth groups as well as their families were all invited to attend the event held Sunday, August 18, 2019, at the Grand Rapids Christian Eagles Stadium.

… (Veruynca) Williams: Yes, I was very pleased. It was wonderful. There were six area school superintendents, two college presidents, but we had the participation of five area colleges who were on program and supported the event: Grand Rapids Community College (President, Bill Pink), Kuyper College, Aquinas College, Cornerstone University. I found out that we had students participating who were from Calvin University.

Admission to be charged for volleyball, basketball games

GRCC’s Athletics Department will charge admission for volleyball and basketball games at Ford Fieldhouse, with proceeds going to create additional athletics scholarships.

Admission will be $3 for spectators age 10 and older, starting with today’s volleyball home opener against Lansing Community College.

GRCC students, staff and faculty will be admitted free when they show their RaiderCard.

The Athletics Department will offer season-long, regular-season passes for families and friends and student-athletes. Passes for the eight volleyball home games would cost $40. Passes for men’s basketball and women’s basketball would cost $75, based on 14 home games. The passes would admit up to six people.
