OTTAWA COUNTY — As the holidays approach, Ottawa County courts will be busy this month with several high-profile sentencings, including the resolutions of two Ottawa County murder cases.
… Timothy Koets, the Grand Rapids Community College professor charged with manslaughter and child abuse in his 16-year-old son’s drowning death, has a preliminary examination hearing Dec. 6 in Hudsonville District Court. During preliminary examinations, a judge determines if there is enough evidence to bind the charges over to circuit court.
