Grand Rapids – Michael Bernard Johnson, Sr. departed this earthly realm after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 surrounded by loved ones.

… He began his education at Sheldon and Campau Elementary Schools, furthered his education at South High School and graduated from Creston High School. He attended Grand Rapids Junior College (now GRCC), Western Michigan University and Wayne State University. He maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout his college career.

Goshen College Announces Incoming Class Of 12 Baseball Players

GOSHEN, Ind. — The Goshen College baseball team introduced its incoming class for the 2020 season on Thursday. The group of 12 players — 10 freshmen and two juniors — join 23 returning players from last season’s team that went 20-29 and finished fourth in the Crossroads League tournament.

… John Sanocki – Junior

… Sanocki joins the Maple Leafs after spending time at Grand Rapids Community College of the Michigan Community College Athletic Association. He made 8 appearances at GRCC last spring, accumulating a 2-1 record on the mound. He graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School in 2016 having helped the Crusaders to a Division 4 state title as a junior. He was a two-sport athlete, playing football and basketball at MCCHS, and was tabbed all-conference as a senior. Sanocki is the son of John and Michele Sanocki.

An Open Letter From University Faculty and Staff Against Campus Facial Recognition

OneZero is presenting an open letter penned by more than 150 college and university faculty, staff, and researchers. It was written in coordination with a national campaign to stop facial recognition on college campuses led by Fight for the Future, a nonprofit advocating for rights in the digital age, and Students for a Sensible Drug Policy, a nonprofit dedicated to ending the War on Drugs. The letter comes before a student-led national day of action on March 2.
