Campus water system to be flushed with scalding water as precaution

Facilities has turned up the heat of all water in GRCC buildings from the regular 120 degrees to 150 degrees. This action, which will continue through Thursday morning, is a precaution intended to kill anything that might have accumulated in the system during the shutdown.

Water at 150 degrees is a scalding risk — so be aware and be careful. The system will be returned to 120 degrees sometime Thursday.
